Booking/Reservation Procedure
(Please read in detail)
Temporary reservations can be made by email. I will then hold the requested dates for you. However, you are only confirmed once you have sent in a deposit. Please state which course you are applying for and the amount of deposit you are sending.
Upon reception of your reservation form and deposit, you will be sent confirmation and information on meeting points, exact times, a detailed course description and an equipment list (all of which can be found in my web site also).
Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me at +334 5054 6872. I can be very hard to get a hold of on the phone but if you leave me a message, I will return your call. Remember that it may be difficult to talk directly with me during the high season, my office is in the mountains and I am often out for several days at a time. Email is a simpler, easier alternative should you be on the other side of the world.
Please register early, this helps me guarantee the dates of the program and your place on it. Remember that huts, guides and logistics must be planned and reserved well ahead of time. Last minute arrangements are difficult to assure.
DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS :
The entire course fee or 30% of the total cost is required to
confirm your space. The balance is due 60 days prior to the scheduled departure
date of the program. If you register after the due date, a full payment is
required.
Forms of payment are :

- Bank checks (no personal checks)

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
Please understand that I cannot offer any refunds once the initial deposit has been made. In exceptional circumstances I can grant a credit for future use.
ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS are available once a program begins. I recommend that you buy trip cancellation insurance when you buy your plane tickets (most travel agencies sell this for about a 5% fee) to protect yourself. Please take the time to buy this insurance, as should you become ill or injured once the program has started, I cannot offer you a refund of any kind.
Rescue insurance and health insurance are also highly recommended !
Rescue insurance is easy to get and is very inexpensive. You can buy rescue insurance here in Chamonix through the French Alpine Club (that will cover you world wide) for less than $50. Or, you can go through the American Alpine Club. Their web site is at www.americanalpineclub.com
Be sure your health insurance will cover you when in Europe.
Due to the fact I am not yet able to control mother nature, course programs may have to be altered, modified or in certain extreme cases, cancelled. I have always offered alternative climbs and programs when ever possible and have yet had to completely cancel any program. In the event that I would have to cancel an entire program, you will be granted credit good towards a future program of your choice.
It is extremely important to follow the programs as they are the direct result of years of experience. Programs may only be modified and or altered based upon the guides decision to do so.
The guide and solely the guide reserves the right to modify a program or climb depending upon the conditions and or level of the
participant(s).

By signing this application, I agree to such instructions, terms and conditions that Francis Kelsey or his representatives may consider necessary to give in order to assure the safety of the people taking part in the courses or programs.
I have read through the documentation and have a thorough understanding of what
the said terms and conditions entail.
I understand that any mountain related sport, i.e. - climbing, mountaineering, canyoneering, via ferrata, off-piste skiing, ski mountaineering, steep skiing,
etc. involves certain degrees of risk and danger, much of which cannot be predicted. I also understand that Francis Kelsey or his representatives are under no liability whatsoever in respect to personal loss or injury that I may incur.
